| Pro-life | a) Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation? | ||
| Yes | b) Should abortion be legal when the pregnancy resulted from incest or rape? | ||
| No | c) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions? | ||
| I am not in favor of abortions and that is my personal opinion but I would never stand in the way of a woman's right to make a decision for her body or her life. This is not a state decision although NC would have to follow the directive of the federal government. | |||
1) Budget Stabilization:Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing North Carolina's budget.
| No | a) Reducing state employee salaries AND/OR pensions? | ||
| No | b) Instituting mandatory furloughs AND/OR layoffs for state employees? | ||
| No | c) Reducing benefits for Medicaid recipients? | ||
| No | d) An income tax increase on any tax bracket? | ||
| I think as a state we need to explore all options to balance our budget. I feel there is a lot of wasteful spending that occurs in our state budget and that needs to be explored. I would like to stay away from tax hikes for NC but the individuals in the higher tax brackets might need to be taxed more. As a state there are several area that need more funding like education, infrastructure and our environment. | |||
| Yes | a) Do you support any limits on campaign contributions to state candidates? | ||
| Yes | b) Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions? | ||
| Yes | c) Do you support the use of an independent AND/OR bipartisan commission for redistricting? | ||
| No | d) Do you support requiring a government-issued photo identification in order to vote at the polls? | ||
| I don't think there is enough evidence to support a need for photo id at the polls. If it is decided that id's at the polls is the road NC wants to take we need to assure that there are no barriers for the voters. I personally feel that this should occur at the initial registration. Technology offers many ways of identifying voters other then a individual id. | |||

| Yes | e) Do you support requiring welfare applicants to pass a drug test in order to receive benefits? | ||
| Yes | f) Do you support an increase of the minimum wage of North Carolina? | ||
| I would only support expanding access to unemployment benefits if the person was injured. | |||
| No | a) Do you support adopting federal education standards in North Carolina? | ||
| Yes | b) Do you support state funding for charter schools? | ||
| No | c) Should immigrants unlawfully present in the United States who graduate from North Carolina high schools be eligible for in-state tuition at public universities? | ||
| Yes | d) Do you support increasing funding for the state education budget? | ||
| Yes | e) Do you support North Carolina's "Innovative School District" program? | ||
| I am in favor of any initiative we as a state can implement to move our educational system forward. Our students are being left behind and it is unacceptable. NC mist make sure that we are providing the best education possible if we want to keep students in our systems. | |||

| Yes | c) Do you support greater efforts by North Carolina state government in closing the pay gap between men and women? | ||
| No | d) Do you support the removal of Confederate monuments from public spaces? | ||
| e) Other or expanded principles: | |||
| 1. Quality education 2. Affordable healthcare 3. Solutions to the mental health and opioid crisis There should be required funding for these priorities and in my opinion they should already be on the table for discussion. I want to just continue the work that should be in progress and make sure that they do not get forgotten. These priorities are needed to assist the people of NC. |
